Starting list of the Final of the 2nd European Individual Ice Speedway Championship in Tomaszów Mazowiecki

On Saturday, March 19, at 3.45 pm, the second final tournament of the European Individual Ice Speedway Championship will take place. On this day, we will meet the medalists of this event in Arena Lodowa Tomaszów Mazowiecki. FIM Europe, the Polish Motor Association and Speedwayevents.pl invite you to the competition. Tickets on sale online at bilety.speedwayevents.pl and on ebilet.pl. The final start list for Saturday’s tournament has just been announced.

The changes – compared to the first final tournament in Sanok – are due to two reasons. The main one is, of course, the Russian military invasion of Ukraine and the resulting decisions to exclude representatives of the aggressor’s country, as well as Belarus, from participating in all motorsport competitions. This was decided by the International Motorcycle Federation, and consequently also by the Polish Motor Association.

This means that two Russians – Dmitriy Soliannikov and Vladimir Fadeev, who turned out to be the best in sports rivalry on the “Błonie” track on February 19, will not perform in Tomaszów Mazowiecki. FIM Europe decided to appoint substitutes for them. So from the beginning of the tournament, Norwegian Jo Saetre and Fin Rami Systa will perform in the Ice Arena.

In turn, the injuries excluded the Austrian Franz Zorn and the Swede Daniel Henderson from participating in the event. In their place we will see the Czechs – Andrij Divis and Lukas Hromadka. Thus, our southern neighbors will be the most numerous nation during Saturday’s competition. There will be four of them (apart from the mentioned also Lukas Hutla and Jiri Wildt).

The start list includes the names of representatives of nine countries. Among them will, of course, be a Pole, Michał Knapp. In addition, there will be two Swedes, Germans, Finns and Dutch. One representative each, apart from Poland, will come from Norway, Austria and Italy.

Starting list:

  1. Jasper Iwema (The Netherlands)
  2. Jo Saetre (Norway)
  3. Mikko Jetsonen (Finland)
  4. Niek Schaap (The Netherlands)
  5. Aki Ala-Riihimaki (Finland)
  6. Lukas Hutla (Czech Republic)
  7. Harald Simon (Austria)
  8. Jimmy Olsen (Sweden)
  9. Luca Bauer (Italy)
  10. Franz Mayerbuchler (Germany)
  11. Michał Knapp (Poland)
  12. Lukas Hromadka (Czech Republic)
  13. Benedikt Monn (Germany)
  14. Andrej Divis (Czech Republic)
  15. Rami Systa (Finland)
  16. Jiri Wildt (Czech Republic)

We cordially invite all fans to the Ice Arena to see for themselves who will receive the medals of this year’s European Championships. The stake will be very even, which heralds a large dose of emotions.
