We got to know the name of the next participant of the European Individual Ice Speedway Championship. This time the cards were discovered by the Norwegians. On February 25 and 26, Jo Saetre, nominated by the NMF (Norges Motorsportforbund), will present himself in Sanok.
Saetre is a player who has already participated in the competition for the title of the best player of the Old Continent. In last year’s general classification, he was ranked 13th. First, he showed up as a reserve in two races during the first final in Sanok, scoring one point. The same modest achievement was recorded a day later in a friendly tournament for the Mayor’s Cup.
In Tomaszów Mazowiecki, during the second final of the European Individual Ice Speedway Championship, he started from the beginning of the competition. He was doing decently. He won six “points” and finished tenth in the second tournament.
The 40-year-old Norwegian also tried his hand at this year’s Individual World Championships. However, he did not fare well during the qualifying round in Örnsköldsvik. With 3 points he finished thirteenth and did not qualify for the final in Inzell. In Sanok, he definitely wants to show that he can drive. Saetre’s target will be a top ten finish.
Let us remind you that earlier, the federations of Austria (Harald Simon, Franz Zorn) and the Netherlands (Niek Schaap, Sebastian Reitsma) reported their competitors. The competition at the “Błonie” track is scheduled for February 25 and 26 (both on Saturday and Sunday at 14.00). Tickets are available online on the website: bilety.speedwayevents.pl and on the ebilet.pl website.
