Jimmy Olsén and Jimmy Hörnell are Swedish riders who will take part in the Texom European Individual Ice Speedway Championship – Sanok 2025. Tickets are available online at sklep.speedwayevents.pl and at ebilet.pl.
The only Polish competitor in Sanok, Michał Knapp was asked who has the greatest chance to dethrone the current European champion, Austrian Franz Zorn. Knapp had no doubts and pointed to the Swedish rider – Jimmy Olsén.
Olsen started his career at the age of 15 and in 2014 he won the bronze medal at the European Individual Championships. He repeated this success during the continental championships organized in Poland. He took third place in the 2022 and 2023 seasons. Last year there was silver, will it finally be time for gold?
In the past, the temperature dropped 30 degrees below zero during Swedish Super League matches. Despite this, it is not an obstacle for Jimmy Olsén.
– I live and come from the northern part of Sweden, where winter temperatures of -30 degrees are normal. For me it wasn’t a problem. You could even say normal conditions for racing – Olsen said.
However the Swede can’t count on such temperatures in Poland, but he can count on a warm welcome from the Sanok fans.

The second representative of Sweden, Jimmy Hörnell, comes from the small town of Örnsköldsvik. Therefore he regularly takes part in the Individual European Championships held in Poland. In 2024, on the “Błonie” track, he took 7th place in the general classification, a year earlier he was 13th. In 2021 in the Ice Arena Tomaszów Mazowiecki he took 10th place.
We invite all fans to the “Błonie” ice track, the final outcome is not known yet but what’s the certain – there will be lot of emotions. Online ticket sales for the event has just begun.
