Jasper Iwema represents the Netherlands in the Arena Lodowa

We met another participant of the European Individual Ice Speedway Championship, who will be presented on December 13 in Arena Lodowa in Tomaszów Mazowiecki. The Dutch Motor Federation (KNMV) has decided that Jasper Iwema will take its rightful place in the competition.

Jasper Iwema is an almost 31-year-old competitor who in 2018 entered the stage of the ice variation of speedway and competed in the Individual World Ice Speedway Championships. In last year’s season, IMŚ on ice, to which he was also promoted, took 17th place in the general classification. However, the Individual European Championship is a great opportunity for him to fight for his greatest success in history. Iwema promises a lot after starting in Poland.

– I am glad that this competition will take place at all. An additional motivation for me is that it will take place in Poland, where my roots are. My mom is Polish. Therefore, I will certainly feel that I am going home to some extent – Jasper points out. – Despite the fact that these competitions will look completely different, due to the pandemic situation that has taken over the whole world, it is nice that every effort has been made to leave it. For my part, I promise to fight for the highest possible place. However, I do not want to make any specific declarations – added Iwema.

The main sponsor of the competition is PKN Orlen. Honorary patronage over the competition in Tomaszów Mazowiecki was taken by MEP Ryszard Czarnecki.
