All is clear. Franz Zorn will come to Sanok to defend his title as European Individual Champion. The other Austrian representative at the Texom European Individual Ice Speedway Championship will be Martin Posch. The two-day competition for the title of the best rider on the Old Continent is already on February 24 and 25. The start of the competition – on both days – from 2 p.m. Tickets on sale online.
At last year’s Texom European Individual Ice Speedway Championship finals, Franz Zorn was second to none. On the first day of competition he was flawless, finding no conqueror. In the second, only in the final run was he defeated by Luca Bauer, but this did not prevent him from winning the championship title. The one in 2023 was the second of the Austrian’s career. He reached for his first European championship gold in 2008. Also in Sanok, thus breaking the long-standing domination of the Russians, who led the way on tracks across Europe. Now Franz Zorn is coming to defend the gold medal, and sets his goal to repeat the success.
– Of course, I will do my best to defend the title from a year ago. I am aware that it will not be easy, because I know the class of my rivals. I have already seen them in action this winter. However, I would like to leave Sanok with another trophy. I am very happy to be back there, I have fond memories of last year’s final and I am looking forward to the upcoming edition – says Franz Zorn.
The second Austrian representative will be Martin Posch. This racer got to know the track in Sanok years ago. Among other things, he competed here during the qualifiers for the Individual World Championships in 2012. This winter he had the opportunity to test the equipment during Swedish league matches. The 41-year-old intends to place in the top half of the pile during the event in Poland.

Ticket sales for the event in Sanok are already underway. Ticket packages have been prepared for two days of ice speedway on the “Blonie” track, and you can also purchase tickets separately for each day. Prices are the same as last year.
